Barwa Housing program (BHP) confirms delivery of Musaimeer's units on time

The lease contracts of Musaimeer units have been signed with more than 650 beneficiary families immediately after Eid Al Adha of last year. Some beneficiaries did not appear to sign their contracts which accordingly gave BHP committee the opportunity to transfer some of Sailiya beneficiaries to Musaimeer complex. Some criteria have been set out to select beneficiaries who mostly deserve to be transferred. These criteria come in line with the general main aims of the program.

The main aims can be summed up in creating and sustaining a better life and environment for people in Qatar. Giving the transferred Siliyia beneficiaries a chance to arrange their issues and to honor their current contractual commitments towards other house owners, Barwa has postponed the delivery of their Musaimeer units till March 2009. By doing so, Barwa intended to facilitate things and not to burden the beneficiaries' with other commitments until they move to their units.

Furthermore, Barwa extends its deep thanks and appreciation for Kahramaa Corporation which confirmed that transmission of electricity shall be completed in the current month of January 2009 as earlier scheduled. It should be noted that Kaharamaa is one of the first institutions that supported the project from the beginning by taking quick actions to provide the two complexes with all necessary services. All works are completed, except the final touches.

BHP's work plan and the delivery of units are going as scheduled and earlier announced by Dr. Yousef Mohammed Al-Horr in a press conference held in November 2008. Barwa and Barwa Housing Program are keen to deliver units to beneficiaries with mid-income to the highest standards of customer service.

Barwa Housing Program is a practical contribution by Barwa to tackle the high inflation that Qatar is experiencing, support the development plans of the country and lessen the housing crisis created by the exceptional situation created by Qatar's stupendous economic growth. The program has been established to provide high specification homes with appropriate rents to beneficiaries with middle incomes to live in distinguished homes.
Built on two separate plots, with total area of 200,000 sq m each and built-up area of 158,000, in West Sailya and South Doha, Barwa Housing Program will offer 1984 residential unit through its monumental 31 buildings on each plot.

Seventeen of the buildings have a 3 bedroom design and 14 have a 2 bedroom design. Realizing Barwa's vision of "creating better life", Barwa Housing project has ample facilities for the rest and relaxation of its tenants including green areas and children's playground. Both sites include a clubhouse, gym, games rooms, multi-purpose hall, basketball court, tennis court, and swimming pool, retail shops suitable for a large supermarket and 6 room nursery schools.
