Thousands of spectators watched the action-packed men's single final which saw Andy Murray win the Qatar Open title following a straight-set victory over fourth seed Andy Roddick.
Feedback from international media and sports officials on the quality of the infrastructure and facilities provided by Qtel was very positive.
Adel Al Mutawa, Executive Director of Group Communications, Qtel, said:
"As a new sponsor of the ExxonMobil Qatar Open, we have had the opportunity to sit with spectators and organizers and fully understand how we can provide the communications support to take the fan experience to a new level. Qtel is one of the leaders in sports sponsorship in the region, and we're very pleased to add the Men's Tennis event to our portfolio of sponsored sports."
Qtel is investigating the potential to deploy its highly popular Mozaic Mobile and Mozaic TV + services to support future events, as well as investigating a range of technology solutions that could help bring sport to the wider population.
