Ahmed Bayoumi, General Manager of Mars GCC was awarded by H.E Ahmed Butti Ahmed, Executive Chairman Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation at the ceremony held in the Emirates Towers Hotel under the patronage of his Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.
The award criteria were based on the company's performance, excellence and innovation. Entries included a submission document along with supporting evidence detailing Mars GCC's proactive food safety processes and systems. Mars GCC factory also underwent a rigorous audit by a team of assessors from EHS Trakhees.
This is the third National Award for Mars GCC after winning the 2006 Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award for Manufacturing and the 2007 Dubai Quality Award.
Ahmed Bayoumi, General Manager, Mars GCC commented: "Winning this award further demonstrates Mars GCC efforts to enhance food safety measures in the GCC region and also our commitment to consumer health and safety.
