CNN International provides Middle East advertising partners greater reach, as freeview takes CNN to 13.8 million UK households

From today, CNN International, Europe's leading international news channel will reach 13.8 million homes in the UK via Freeview, bringing the total reach of the network's English language services to 244.5 million households worldwide.

The launch offers CNN International's existing partners including DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre), Emirates Airlines, Orascom Telecom and QFC (Qatar Financial Centre), even greater exposure amongst the channel's diverse UK audience.

A launch highlight includes a topical one hour special, 'Middle East Challenge', hosted by CNN's Hala Gorani, and scheduled to air at 2200 GMT. The programme sees Gorani travel through the Middle East to take the pulse of the world's most dynamic and volatile region and investigate the underlying and often-unspoken issues creating roadblocks to economic and political progress, and follows from the success of the channel's other Middle East-specific programming including 'Marketplace Middle East' and 'Inside the Middle East'.
