Jordan Telecom Group- Orange's employees extend support to families in Gaza

In an expression of solidarity and empathy with the people of Gaza, the employees of Orange Jordan have donated their one day salary to Gaza families which amounted to a total of JD50,000 and accordingly the Group's management topped up the amount with another JD50,000.

With this amount, the Group has purchased all the necessary supplies of medical aid, food packages and water.

Also, the Group is currently working on preparing 10 trucks to be sent through official channels and in cooperation with The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, Jordan River Foundation, Tkiyet Um Ali, Al Marwa Water and selected medical institutions to help the families in Gaza with the humanitarian situation they are facing.

Moreover, and in cooperation with Tkiyet Um Ali; citizens are able to donate, where a text message was sent to all Orange subscribers informing them of the mechanism of donating through that number.

Jordan Telecom Group CEO Mr. Mickael Ghossein said that this donation stems from the Group and employees' sense of responsibility and their efforts to support and aid the families in Gaza in their hour of need.

On the other hand, the Group's employees stated that their donations are aimed at reducing some of the hardships that the families of Gaza are faced with.

The Group has also opened the door for its customers to donate JD1 per message by sending an SMS with the word 'Gaza'. Donations through sms have now reached over JD45,000 from Orange customers alone.
