Emad Farid the new Vice Chairman of ORTE

In his new capacity Emad will be leading OTH's Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Public Relations and Corporate Communications departments. Moreover, Emad has been
nominated to join OTH's Board of Directors and will be heading the Audit Committee overseeing the Group's internal audit activities.

Over the span of the past five and half years, since he assumed the Group COO position, Emad led the establishment and evolution of OTH's uniquely efficient operational model which has been one of the key drivers behind the Group's value creation and solid success. Before returning to Orascom Telecom Holding, Emad Farid was the CEO of Syriatel, OTH's GSM operation in Syria.

He is also currently a member/Chairman of the Board of several Orascom Telecom and Weather subsidiaries including but not limited to Mobilink, OTA, OTT, Koryolink, ARPU+, Ring, MENA cable and Wind Telecomunicazioni S.p.a.. Effective the same date, Khaled Bichara, current Chief Operating Officer of Wind Telecomunicazioni S.p.a., Weather Investments Italian telecommunications operation, is appointed Group Chief Operating Officer of Orascom Telecom.

In this capacity, Mr. Bichara will be leading the Technical, IT, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, and Marketing Communication departments. Mr. Bichara was appointed COO of Wind Telecomunicazioni in 2006 and, from 2005, headed the Fixed-line and portal business unit.
He played a key and instrumental role in the successful turnaround of Wind from a loss making company to one of the best performing mobile, fixed-line and broadband integrated operators in Europe within a record time span of three years.

Khaled Bichara is also the co-founder and Chairman of LINKdotNET the largest private Internet Service Provider in the Middle East. Before starting LINKdotNET, Mr. Bichara founded Micro Labs, a software development firm.

Khaled Bichara became Chief Internet Strategist of Orascom Telecom in 2000 and has been a member of the Board of Directors of Orascom Telecom since 2003. He is also currently a Board member of Wind Telecomunicazioni S.p.a.. Concurrently, Ossama Bessada, OTH's current Group Chief Commercial Officer, is appointed Chief Operating Officer of Wind Telecomunicazioni S.p.a..

In this position he will be heading the Commercial, Technical, IT, R&D, Operational Strategy, and Regulatory Affairs & Institutional Relations departments. Mr. Bessada has dynamically led OTH's commercial strategy contributing to its profitable growth in the last three years where the Group's revenues and subscribers grew by almost double and triple, respectively.

Ossama Bessada has built a dynamic model of achieving value propositions across the board in product development, tariff design, sales & distribution, market strategy and customer operations, for the Group.

He was also instrumental in the start-up of two of OTH's major operations, as a Commercial Director of Syriatel and as Marketing Director of Orascom Telecom Algeria.

Ossama Bessada has extensive commercial experience in telecoms where he has helped drive Orascom Telecom's impressive growth. In his role of Chief Commercial Officer of Weather Investments he has acquired an in-depth knowledge of the group's operating companies which will benefit Wind in its next phase of evolution.
