The intensive Feta course is run over three days and includes theoretical and practical training and assessment in fire extinguishing, including the fire triangle, fire ratings and flammable materials. Trainees also learn about portable extinguishers, selecting and positioning the right extinguisher for the area and carrying out servicing and inspections on a variety of extinguishers.
Mr Rami Al-Batrawi, General Manager of IGTC-Chubb Fire Qatar said:
"We have always maintained that being a leader in this field requires constant updating, training and certification of not just or products and services, but also our staff. Our customers expect the best from us, so we attained certification from the UK's fire safety authority to give our clients the most assured and qualified services."
The FIA is the result of a merger between two established and well-respected trade associations, namely Feta and BFPSA (British Fire Protection Systems Association). Together, the FIA provides a variety of trainings, examinations and certifications to bring the latest industry knowledge and standards to bear upon professional fire safety experts' work. "It was a natural step for us to be involved with an association that commands such respect and regard in the safety industry because IGTC - Chubb Fire Qatar wishes to maintain its position as the fire safety leader in the region," said Mr Al-
Batrawi. IGTC - Chubb Fire Qatar is now certified to arrange Feta trainings for its clients and other fire safety providers in the region.
