Microhumus Laboratoire to take part in Environment 2009 trade fair in Abu Dhabi
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, January 18 - 2009 at 15:29
- PRESS RELEASE
Microhumus Laboratoire, the specialist in analyses of composts, soils and organo-mineral products by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), will present the whole range of its procedures and competences at the Environment 2009 trade fair in Abu Dhabi (U.A.E.) from the 19th to 21st of January.
Using a unique method of characterization by visualization, Microhumus Laboratoire offers analyses of compost (amendments, growing media and fertilizers), soils (industrial wasteland, monitoring of organic matter...) and organo-mineral products (agribusiness industry ...). Transmission electron microscopy or TEM (micro and nanometric scale) and micro analyses by EDX probe are used to study the samples in situ in their initial state, without drying, crushing or extraction, thereby revealing their composition, state of transformation and microbial potential whilst at the same time locating any fertilizers and metal pollutants.
Compost-TEM is the new procedure for analyzing the quality of composts by morphological and analytic characterization using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) perfected by Microhumus. Makers and user of composts and manufacturers of equipment and composting activators can use Compost-TEM to improve their composting processes and recipes. This procedure also enables them to demonstrate the quality of a process or an end product or the presence of certain raw materials (peat...).
Soils-TEM is a novel technology for monitoring polluted soils and the first commercial analytic solution. It used Transmission Electron Microscopy (MET/EDX) to morphologically and analytically characterize the organic and mineral matter (associated or not) in the soils studied. This technology is able to detect the presence of and identify technogenic material (e.g. Waste) that may cause malfunctions or phenomena of toxicity of soils. It also shows up the microbial activity in soils.
Microhumus Laboratoire is an independent expert company that was founded in 2007 to commercialize INRA-INPL technology in the service of professionals: agricultural associations, local authorities, public and industrial bodies.
