The chair is the first in the region to provide automatic weight compensation and seat-tilt adjustment. The "Syncro-Dynamic" feature also allows for the seat and backrest to simultaneously follow the movements of the person sitting in it, yet always remain at the optimal angle.
Once the chair is set to the user's individual body weight, the constant backrest counter-pressure ensures a balanced posture.
The Lodo chair is now available exclusively within the UAE at OFIS - an Easa Saleh Al Gurg company.
Mr. Ajai Dayal, General Manager - Retail and Marketing Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group, said:
"This new design will help eliminate many work place injuries and save companies huge amounts in lost working hours."
"The Lordo office chair is perfect for offices with a 'hot desk' policy, allowing staff to simply sit down and start in the knowledge they are working in a healthy environment," Dayal added.
The unique design of the Lordo swivel chair guarantees that the pelvis lies in the correct position and reduces pressure on the thighs, which might otherwise prevent blood flow. The design incorporates an innovative approach to support the back using a transparent, pressure-regulating fabric which is elastic over its entire area with a simple, self-aligning lordosis segment.
"What irritates me about a lot of modern, so-called intelligent products is that they always try to tell me what to do. This is not my idea of quality of life or convenience," said Martin Ballendat, the chair's designer. "The chair should make the person sitting on it feel good, but without forcing them to adopt a specific posture or disciplining them in ergonomics. I think we have achieved that with this chair."
OFIS is the only UAE supplier of major international brands including Aresline, Ergo, INTERFACE, Benel, DVO, Dauphin, Samas, Parador, Zuco, and Bosse.
