Connect telecom to target vertical markets with ThurayaIP

Thuraya, a world leading mobile satellite operator is seeing continued high demand for its latest broadband solution, ThurayaIP.

In this regard the Company signed a commercial agreement with its long-standing service providers "Connect Telecom" appointing them as a distributor of the innovative broadband solution to international vertical markets. Connect Telecom aims to promote ThurayaIP to target segments such as NGOs, corporates, government, construction industry, the vast marine sector and the media and news gathering agencies.

ThurayaIP is a cost-effective and advanced broadband solution that has a compact A-5 size and transmission speed of 444 Kbps. It also has the most superior video streaming capacity in the market that functions at a speed of 384 Kbps. An extremely attractive solution, ThurayaIP efficiently serves several sectors especially those located in remote and rural areas and is an attractive solution for users in need of rapid data access.

He also elaborated that ThurayaIP's features make it the ideal broadband tool for the vertical markets that depend heavily on quick and succinct data transmission.

"The market has indicated that there is a need for a reliable and convenient satellite broadband solution, especially niche markets requiring high speed data products. Accordingly, we have added ThurayaIP to our portfolio of Thuraya products," said Connect Telecom's Managing Director, Mr. Mohammed Nour.

He also added that he was certain that like Thuraya's handhelds, ThurayaIP will accumulate a large customer profile.

Connect Telecom is a Dubai-based Service Provider as well as a National Service provider for Thuraya products in Nigeria and Afghanistan.
