Hytonen said:
"The Middle East is one of the most dynamic and vibrant hospitality markets in the world, and will continue to remain a core focus for us going forward. Our commitment to this region is evidenced by the addition of new hotels throughout the Middle East as well as the entry of both the Park Inn and Missoni brands over the next 12 months."
Hytonen joined Rezidor - one of the world's fastest growing hotel companies - in 1991 and has since held General Manager's positions in Norway, Russia, Oman and South Africa.
In 2004, he was appointed General Manager of the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in St. Petersburg and Area Vice President for Russia, Baltics and Turkey.
In June 2006, Hytonen moved to the group's Corporate Office in Brussels and took over the responsibility for Future Openings and Corporate Food & Beverage as Corporate Vice President. As the company continued to grow, the Future Openings and Food & Beverage department split into two separate departments of which Hytonen continued the leadership and focus on the Food & Beverage area - a position he held until his move to the Middle East.
