Engel & Voelkers' employees participate in Dubai Marathon 2009

The international real estate company, Engel & Voelkers Middle East, forms a corporate team of 20 runners for the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon on 16 January 2009.

Followed the tradition and motivated by Debbie Baertschi, the CEO Engel & Voelkers Middle East, the group participation of the 3km Fun Run extends its invitation to all Engel & Voelkers' employees and their friends and families.

The corporate team is represented by top executives and real estate from all different branch offices of Engel & Voelkers. This includes the Head Office Middle East, Dubai Madinat Office, Dubai Al Qasar Office, Dubai Al Ammanah Office and Dubai Mina Office.

Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the 2009 Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon has seen a record field compete in the marathon, the 10km Road Race and the 3km Fun Run, with marathon world record holder Gebrselassie finishes the 42km marathon in 2h:05m:29s. Engel & Voelkers Middle East participates in the 3km Charity Run so to raise money for the "Seeing is Believing" Fund.

With the title sponsor Standard Chartered Bank, the event is supported also by Dubai Holding, The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina, PUMA, Arab Media Group (AMG), TNT and Fitness First with the assistance provided by Dubai Sports Council, RTA, Dubai Municipality and Dubai Police.
