High-level delegation from Australia's TAFE Institutes holds talks with Dubai Knowledge Village officials on collaboration

Dubai Knowledge Village, a member of Tecom Investments, announced it received a six-member high-level delegation representing Technical and Further Education (TAFE) Institutes of Australia, and discussed prospects of collaboration.

TAFE covers 85 per cent of accredited training in Australia. It has grown rapidly over the recent years as students in Australia seek a combination of vocational education and a stepping stone into degree-level studies at universities.

Dr Ayoub Kazim, Executive Director, Dubai Knowledge Village and Dubai International Academic City and Ibrahim Moosa Jamel, Director for Business Development, Dubai Knowledge Village, received the delegation, which expressed keen interest in Dubai's innovative knowledge cluster.

The delegation members included Virginia Simmons, CEO, Chisholm Institute, TAFE Directors Australia (TDA) Board Representative; Bruce Bradfield, Manager-International, Kangan Batman Institute; John Barnes, General Manager Business Development, Kangan Batman Institute; Geoffrey Bell, Executive Director Business Development, Canberra Institute of Technology; Grant Radford, Director Corporate Affairs, Chisholm Institute; and Barry Peddle, Institute Director, South West Sydney TAFE.
