  • PRESS RELEASE

Mathnasium Learning Center, an international franchise offering math-only, after-school educational programs, is opening in Dubai.

With hundreds of locations in 15 countries around the world, the Mathnasium curriculum is based on over 30 years of hands-on experience with thousands of children.

"The Mathnasium curriculum has been designed to provide a challenging, engaging and dynamic learning experience for a fraction of the cost of private tutoring. Mathnasium was created to give all students an opportunity to dramatically increase their test scores, while developing the broad based reasoning skills that are critical to ongoing academic success,"
said Peter Markovitz, Mathnasium founder and president.

The results are there to prove Mathnasium's educational and motivational success: independent studies show 85% of parents report a dramatic improvement in their child's attitude towards math, and 100% of the students saw their skills jump at least a grade level and in most cases multiple grade levels in 20 sessions or less.

The Dubai Knowledge Village center opens February 1st, and enrolment will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Once enrolled, children can attend the center's after-school programs twice a week for one low monthly fee, and immediately start benefitting from the Mathnasium Method.

The Mathnasium Method is designed to address the individual needs of children of all ages and skill levels. As part of its proprietary and proven learning model, Mathnasium students are first assessed to identify their strengths and weaknesses. This baseline testing is then used to create a customized learning program tailored to strengthen weak areas and build on strengths.

The Mathnasium Method uses a unique combination of mental, verbal, visual, tactile and written techniques to help children understand math. The comprehensive curriculum also addresses attitude and self-esteem, with the goal of helping students to become better problem solvers and to develop a long-term understanding of mathematical concepts.

"Transforming children into powerful mathematicians is entirely doable," said Luis Cirne, one of the owners of the Knowledge Village Mathnasium Center. "It takes a skillful combination of the right method, the right curriculum and qualified teachers to make math fun and accessible to students. We are thrilled to bring that recipe for success to Dubai."
