Based in Dubai, Mr. Armstrong reports functionally to David Livingstone, Head of M&A for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and regionally to Jeffrey Culpepper, Vice Chairman and Head of the Investment Banking Department for the Mena region. Mr. Armstrong assumed his position on January 1.
Mr. Armstrong was previously a Managing Director of Credit Suisse in the Americas M&A group, based in Los Angeles. In this role, he spearheaded the M&A business in the Western Region of the Americas. He has advised companies across a broad range of industries on strategic matters including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and hostile transactions. He has also advised on a number of cross border US - Mena region transactions.

Mr. Armstrong joined Credit Suisse First Boston in November 2000 when the Bank merged with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he had been an officer in the M&A Group. Prior to DLJ, Mr. Armstrong worked for the M&A advisory firm Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co. He holds an M.B.A. with honours from Northwestern University and a B.S. from Colorado State University.
