Oxford Business Groups appoints Chase J. Thompson Dubai Editorial Manager

Oxford Business Group (OBG), global publishing, research and consultancy firm has appointed Chase J. Thompson as its Dubai Editorial Manager.

Thompson, who previously held positions with the United Nations and in the media industry in the Middle East, the Caribbean, Asia and Europe, will direct OBG's team of international analysts based in Dubai for six month preparing OBG's next annual guide to the emirate.

"This is a very exciting time to start my posting in Dubai, which is in the midst of a remarkable transformation,"


he said.

"So many sectors of the emirate, notably financial services, are helping to build a diversified economy, which will be certain to give Dubai the required strengths in the years ahead."

Thompson, who graduated with honours in International Affairs and Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder, has conducted interviews with a host of the world's most important political and business leaders, which have recently included Dominique de Villepin, former Prime Minister of France; Donald Tsang, Chief Executive of Hong Kong; Perry Christie, former Prime Minister of the Bahamas and HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

Elizabeth Boissevain, OBG's Director of Field Operations, said: "Chase is eminently prepared for his new role, with his work in the Middle East and other parts of the world, wide knowledge of the media, information gathering, and in-depth interviewing which will contribute greatly to the quality of The Report: Dubai 2009."
