ISIT adds John Crane to its laurels

ISIT, Intelligent Storage through Integrated Technology had a major coup of sorts when John Crane Middle East FZE a part of the World leader Smiths Group favored its solution Connected Backup for PC from Iron Mountain as a complete answer to its wide-ranging problems from data protection and backup to recovery.
Founded in 1917, John Crane garnered a world reputation by designing and manufacturing seals and associated products mainly for the oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper and mining sectors. The establishment with an impressive turnover of $744m presently operates 20 manufacturing sites with more than 6,000 employees, located in 50 countries. Significantly John Crane ME- Africa alone covers 10 countries and employs over 130 personnel.
According to Samad Khokhar John Crane's Network manger, "Our choice of ISIT was largely based on its storage focused customer centric, inventive solution of Connected Backup for PC that convinced us because of the balanced combination of technical flexibility and business value."
Today Samad Khokhar is very impressed with the process and procedure "We received excellent cooperation, support and service from ISIT with their simple and effective solution from Iron Mountain which eventually proved very valuable for us." Having gained from the storage experience John Crane's future IT plans now include implementation of an automated data encryption and destruction to prevent loss of sensitive data in case of stolen laptops and file/data tracking system for compliance purpose.
For ISIT the next challenge is about focusing on 'Greener Storage' to reduce the consumption of energy, space and cooling in the data centre thereby improving resource and asset utilization within the IT industry.
