Al Bustan Rotana Hotel hosts PR Group's 6th anniversary dinner

The PR Group is an organization of PR, Marketing & Communications personnel from different hotels in the UAE. It was founded by media personality Jawahar Chhoda on December 10, 2002, with barely 15 members and has since grown from strength to strength. The group which is like a mini United Nations includes members from thirty different nationalities, as more and more PR executives join each month. The members meet together regularly and hold monthly dinners which are arranged and hosted by different hotels in some of their most prestigious restaurants.

To celebrate the 6th anniversary at the Al Bustan Rotana, the group was welcomed by Detlef Winter, General Manager of the property together with Helena Al Sayed, Marketing & Communications Manager. Attendees were treated in VIP style, with a red carpet specially rolled out at the hotel's entrance.

This was followed by a movie star-themed cocktail reception at Meeting Plus, where more that 25 hotel staff took photos of all the attendees just like real paparazzi. Guests enjoyed refreshing cocktails and canapés carefully arranged forming the number six to commemorate the occasion. Afterwards, the celebration continued at the hotel's Choices Restaurant, where the guests were impressed by the artistically-decorated venue prepared by the hotel's creative Food & Beverage team headed by F&B Director Franck Royer.

Table settings showcased napkins intricately folded to form six as lovely flower arrangements and candle shaped like the number six made for the centrepieces. The cutting of a huge, heavenly six-shaped cake was also a main feature of the celebration, and the group feasted on a sumptuous dinner buffet featuring an extensive array of international dishes from six live cooking stations. The entire menu, from canapés to main courses to the cake relished by the guests was especially prepared by the hotel's award-winning Executive Chef, Christophe Prodhomme.

By the end of the evening, each guest was given a special souvenir bag to honour the important event containing an exclusive 6th anniversary crystal memorabilia from Crystal Arc LLC, cosmetic products from Clarins Group Middle East and chocolates from Laederach, the famous Swiss chocolate company.

Following the success of the event, Helena Al Sayed said, "The Al Bustan Rotana is proud to host the sixth anniversary dinner. I was one of the founding members of this group and I have seen how it grew tremendously over the years. When it started, there were only two of us from our company. However, as Rotana expanded its portfolio and recruited more PR and Marketing staff, our colleagues also joined the group, making Rotana one of the highly represented chains during our monthly dinners. It is only appropriate that one Rotana hotel, specifically Al Bustan Rotana, has been given the honour of hosting our fellow professionals in Dubai's hospitality industry."
