The first Culinary Art lesson was held in the open kitchen of Aqua e Luce, the Italian restaurant at Fairmont Towers, where the hotel's Executive Chef Ziad Daoud conducted the class and explained to the journalists the lesson's recipe of the day and the secrets of a successful & delicious Mushroom & Safron 'Italian Risotto'.

Journalists competed among each other to choose the best cooked Risotto dish. Journalists enjoyed the cooking experience and the idea itself of the combined marketing efforts of both BA & Fairmont Towers.

They even expressed their appreciation to the effort and stressed on the importance of the role of Marketing and Public Relations at both sectors: Airlines & Hospitality as this is what gives a great value to the various promotional efforts and activities, that each organization seeks to promote in the Egyptian market, they also confirmed the success of the idea and the value of the type of partnership between British Airways and Fairmont Towers, as two of the most successful establishments each in its respective field.

Aqua e Luce is the first gourmet restaurant of its kind to open in Cairo. Serving contemporary Italian cuisine with French overtones, the hotel's heartthrob offers guests modern presentations in hip and trendy dishware. Aqua e Luce offers guests a memorable experience that flatters the senses; tastefully designed bite-sized amuse-bouche delights in tempting presentations served in the most inviting cups and spoons. Lunch and dinner are served á la carte offering dining connoisseurs a variety of antipasti, soups, salads, home-made raviolis and pastas, mouthwatering seafood platters, and tantalizing desserts.
