Dr. Hamdallah had been the Chair of the mentioned board during the period December 2003 - 2005.
Besides being the president of An-Najah National University, Dr. Hamdallah is a member on the Board of Arab Universities' Union for Research, the Deputy President of The Palestinian Scientific Academy, a member on the Board of Palestinian Universities' Presidents, the deputy head of Mediterranean Universities' Group, a member on the Executive Committee of the Islamic World Universities, the Deputy President of the Public Conference of Arab Universities' Union, and a member on the Palestinian Constitution Commission.
He was also the Secretary General of the Central Election Commission through 2004-2006.
