Qatari Diar collaborates with Malaysian company

Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, an international leader in sustainable real-estate development, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a Malaysian public listed company Zecon Berhad to pursue a cooperative business relationship, under which Zecon Berhad will provide services in relation to Qatari Diar's construction projects.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Qatari Diar's CEO, Mr. Ghanim Bin Saad Al-Saad and Zecon Berhad's CEO/Group Managing Director Datuk Hj Zainal Abidin Hj Ahmad. The signing ceremony was witnessed by HE the Malaysian Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Abdullah bin Ahmad Badawi.

This unique business relationship will create a strong cooperation between Qatar and Malaysia, as Qatar will benefit from the know-how of the Malaysian expertise in civil engineering, building works, infrastructure and property development in several Qatari Diar projects. Malaysia will have the opportunity to tap into the Qatari as well as the international market.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Ghanim bin Saad Al Saad, said:
"Qatari Diar is delighted to have signed this Memorandum of Understanding. We believe that this collaboration highlights the strong relationship between our two countries and we look forward to working with Zecon Berhad on our developments. This exemplifies Qatari Diar's focus of creating long term sustainable partnerships."


The CEO/Group Managing Director of Zecon Berhad, Datuk Hj Zainal Abidin Hj Ahmad, commented: "We are honored to be associated with Qatari Diar and we trust the proposed alliance will bloom into a meaningful and permanent relationship in achieving the goals of Qatari Diar."
