    Chronoswiss watch.
Both the watches, the Lunar Chronograph with moon-phase display, and the elaborately skeletonised Opus Chronograph, are available in one size larger, i.e. with cases measuring a generous 41 millimeters in diameter at Damas, leading retailer of stylish watches and jewellery in the Middle East.

Tawhid Abdullah, Managing Director of Damas, said:

'Both these ticking siblings from the Chronoswiss manufactory have more in common with one another than their large dimensions: another shared characteristic is the innovative bezel with a smooth upper surface and fluting around the rim. This contrasts markedly with the original grooved form, i.e. the fluting that characterises the typical Chronoswiss bezel. The smooth topped bezel aptly complements the new dimensions and lends a sportily elegant touch to these chronographs."

In acknowledgement of their larger size, these two neophytes proudly include the adjective 'grand' in their names: the Grand Lunar Chronograph and the Grand Opus Chronograph both distinguish themselves with this epithet.

The new Grand Lunar Chronograph invites its wearer to track the phases of the earth's satellite. Together with the exceedingly important date indicator, displays of the moon's age and phase adorn this sporty chronograph's massive sterling silver dial, above which a domed, scratch-resistant, antireflective sapphire crystal arches protectively.

The familiar chronograph case, which is available in gold, steel/gold or steel, remains water resistant during dives as deep as 30 meters below the water's surface. An individually numbered, precisely running, meticulously regulated, automatic movement (Caliber C. 755) assures that the Grand Lunar Chronograph will never go loony. Transparent! Chronoswiss knows that aficionados of mechanical timepieces are ardently interested in the complex inner lives and diverse functional sequences of these ticking marvels, so this manufactory has endowed its automatic chronograph with the necessary transparency.

Laborious and dexterous handcraftsmanship is required to pare away all superfluous material. When extremest limits of feasibility have been reached, what remains is a filigreed skeleton which functions just as well as it did when it was fully fleshed. A lingering look through a jeweler's loupe is needed to discover the full scope of these functions. Only with optical aid can a connoisseur's gaze penetrate into the inmost depths of the 7.9-mm-tall movement.

Because this skeletonised automatic chronograph (incidentally: the first watch of this kind to be serially manufactured) embodies an artistic opus of the consummate perfection, Chronoswiss has fittingly named it 'Opus' - an horological artwork created for all eternity is available now, and it is genuinely 'grand' in every sense of the word!

The new collection of Chronoswiss watches will soon be available at Damas Les Exclusive Boutiques in Saks Fifth Avenue, Burjuman; Emirates Towers; Burj Al Arab; Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates.
