Zain Bahrain stresses spirit of belonging with the blood donation campaign

Zain Bahrain stressed the spirit of belonging which is part of its corporate values when it supported a blood donation drive conducted by the Al Noaim Charity Fund on the occasion of Ashoora.

The company contributed BD5000 to the charity fund and many Zain staffers also joined the nearly 750 community volunteers who donated blood on the 8th and 9th day of Ashoora.

"Blood donation is a vital medical service that saves lives and Zain Bahrain was determined to emphasise the need for this voluntary service in the community by supporting this cause," said Corporate Communications Manager, Samya Hussain, "The Al Noaim blood donation drive coincided with the observance of Ashoora which reminds us of the spirit of sacrifice and we are very happy that nearly 750 people took part in this exercise."

The campaign by Zain Bahrain also saw a daily contest in the Al Ayam newspaper that ran for ten days and underscored public awareness of the effort. Ten mobile handsets were given to the winners of the contest.
