OneCard to donate part of January 2009 earnings to victims of Gaza conflict

OneCard, a KSA-based online payment solutions provider, has announced that it will donate a percentage of its January 2009 revenues to the victims of the Gaza conflict, in line with the company's ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in the Kingdom.

"It truly concerns us that while we are using technology to unite internet users, weapons of war are tearing apart lives in Gaza. Our donation is our concrete, positive response to this human tragedy; we hope we can influence others to also help ease the pain of the victims of this conflict," said Muhannad Ebwini, General Manager of OneCard.

Launched in Saudi Arabia in 2004, OneCard is a subsidiary of National Technology Group. OneCard has contributed significantly to the development of internet services in the KSA, the broader Middle East, and Islamic communities worldwide.
Travian Games GmbH, the developer of the highly popular and award-winning multiplayer online browser-based game "Travian," has also pledged $50,000 for the children of Gaza.

"Actions that ultimately lead to the loss of innocent lives, and young ones at that, should never be condoned under any circumstances. Within our own chat lines, our young users have been voicing their sadness that many of their age are unwillingly and tragically caught in this violence. Our first priority is to help the children, who we think need the most attention in times like these,"

said Siegfried Müller, CEO, Travian Games.
