IBM will also be showcasing its solutions to key regional and global challenges and exploring the future trends of the healthcare sector at the Arab Health 2009 exhibition taking place at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 26th - 29th January 2009.

"IBM is committed to providing healthcare organizations with highly innovative solutions that will help them respond to the many daunting industry challenges as they expand to meet the demands of the fast-growing Middle East healthcare sector,"

said Edgar Mounib, Global Healthcare Lead, IBM Institute for Business Value (IBV) "Now, evermore, the Middle East Healthcare sector is looking to compete on a global basis with the more developed models of the US and Europe and as such IBM is working alongside the sector in providing world class technology and consulting services."

In the future, successful care delivery organizations will be differentiated by their ability to manage, integrate, analyze and leverage clinical, financial and biomedical information across the organisation and ultimately the healthcare ecosystem. To support healthcare leaders in successfully improving the quality of care, IBM's consulting and solutions focus on Healthcare Innovations for a Better Tomorrow. This enables a better understanding of quality and value while providing actionable data to providers, researchers, executives and patients when making care decisions.

"IBM has a strong presence in the healthcare sector not only through hardware and software that are specifically designed to meet the challenges of the industry but in terms of our consulting services and project management," said Takreem El - Tohamy, general manager IBM Middle East and North Africa.

"Arab Health is the ideal platform for us to showcase our advanced technologies and communicate our latest breakthrough solutions to a key audience of high profile executives in the healthcare sector".
