Ministry of Sports and Ministry of Information chose the Crowne Plaza Muscat to host the International Press Centre for the duration of the 19th Gulf Cup. The hotel team catered for over 400 members of the press and international sports pundits each day of the tournament.
Al Jazeera, the official media partner for the 19th Gulf Cup, constructed three studios on the Grand Lawns at the Crowne Plaza Muscat. Daily broadcasts were made from the purpose-built studios which overlooked the spectacular Gulf of Oman. The location of the broadcast and the hospitality extended to the Al Jazeera team did justice to Oman as a picturesque and welcoming destination.

said David Todd, General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Muscat.
