Family events begin at Sahara Centre celebrating SSP 2009

Entertaining performances opened doors to crowds at Sahara Centre - the leading family shopping and entertainment destination in the UAE and one of Sharjah's prominent landmark - this Sharjah Spring Promotion 2009.

Presenting an exhilarating performance of Capoeira, Juggling shows and Transformer shows, crowds in large numbers, descended to the mall to experience spring with a difference. All the shows, held everyday from 22nd January till 7th February between 6pm and 9 pm on the 1st level in the mall, promise a fun-filled evening.

On the commencement of the shows, Jean Pierre Nammour, Managing Director of Sahara Centre, commented: "We have always made sure to provide our customers with a different experience each time they visit Sahara centre. This Spring, 11 talented performers are creating a vibrant and exciting ambience while presenting a series of thrilling shows for families and children. Our shows are designed not only to promote Sahara Centre as an ideal destination, but also to promote the concept of Sharjah Spring Promotion among shoppers while elevating the image of Sharjah as an evolving tourist destination."

Guided by a unique theme 'Wish you were having more fun'? Sahara Centre is showcasing different unique acts performed by finest artists from Ukraine and Mexico.

Filled with three hours of fun and frolic, a dynamic group of Mexican Capoeristas staged a thrilling performance of Capoeria, an Afro Brazilian art that combines elements of martial arts, dance, music and choreographed fights. The Capoeristas displayed a unique acrobatic play using extensive gestures of feints, sweeps and kicks with improvised fighting movements.

Keeping the entertainment ambience alive, a team of experienced Jugglers performed Juggling Shows in different forms including a catchy Rolla Rolla, equilibrium and balance show.

The Transformer show unveiled curtains with a Ukrainian artist playing two trumpets at the same time. Bird shows, Curtain shows, Trio Mascots, and puppet shows added further fun and excitement.
