Through this partnership DWE aims to source relevant updated data on women in the Arab world that will aid the Establishment to provide an in-depth analysis of their status and their individual and collective capabilities to contribute to the national economy.
The MoU aims at exchanging information and statistic to support working women, in various economic, social and political sector, based on profound and accurate research results.
The MoU also seeks to exchange experience by different methods such as consulting and training and both parties agreed to collaborate and participate in events/conferences organized by any of the two parties.
Hessa Tahlak said:
"The agreement is among the initial outcomes of DWE's five-pronged strategy that aims to enhance women's contribution in the society by partnering with such regional and international research and training centers. Apart from exchanging statistics, our cooperation with the Cawtar will ensure the joint implementation of statistical initiatives including women-oriented surveys. With the guidance of experts from the centre, we will launch new research initiatives exploring Arab and UAE women's role in the society."
As part of its objective to ensure Emirati women play a key role not only in the local arena but throughout the Gulf region, the Dubai Women Establishment has initiated several women-centric programmes with the active participation of private and public sector organizations.
The Center of Arab Women for Training and Research "Cawtar", is a Tunisia-based Arab independent regional institution established in 1993, operating in the field promoting gender equality in the Arab World through Research, Training, Networking and Advocacy.
