Malaysian Prime Minister visits Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri

The Honourable Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Prime Minister of Malaysia, visited Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, on Friday, as part of an official visit to the UAE.
The Prime Minister was joined by a delegation including Dato Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim, Minister of Foreign Affairs and his wife Datin Seri Masnah Rais; Dato Yahaya Abdul Jabar, Malaysian Ambassador to UAE, and his wife Datin Saedah Sanip; and Mr Syed Mohammed Hasrin Tengku Hussin, Consul General of Malaysia, Dubai and his wife Sarah Al Bakri Devadason.
Prime Minister Dato Seri went to Al Reem Island to meet Malaysians working there and then proceeded to Shangri-La Hotel, where he met a number of the Malaysian staff members. Khaled Ghaleb, resident manager, and some of the Malaysian hotel staff then escorted the Prime Minister to Al Nojoom Ballroom for a brunch where he was joined by His Excellency Nasser Salman Al Aboudi, UAE Ambassador to Malaysia.
After brunch, the Prime Minister and delegation went to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque for Friday prayer and then returned to the hotel for a tour of the rooms, suites and luxury villas and to meet more Malaysian nationals who live and work in the UAE.
