Saraya Aqaba continues to invest in future of tourism in Aqaba

The end of the year 2008 witnessed another initiative by Saraya Aqaba in its aim to educate and train the local workforce in Aqaba in the field of Hospitality, as part of its social responsibility program.

Saraya Aqaba sponsored two students, from the Aqaba Vocational Training Center, to attend a one-month hospitality training course in Dubai-UAE with the collaboration of Saraya Aqaba's partner Jumeirah International.

Jumeirah International is a world class luxury international hotel and hospitality management company, renowned for its extensive experience in the field of hospitality management.

Being a mixed-use development, Saraya Aqaba entails residential units managed by Jumeirah, as well as 5 star hotels, and two boutique hotels operated by renowned names such as Jumeirah, Starwood, and Nikki Beach. As such, Saraya Aqaba believes in its responsibility towards enhancing the hospitality and tourism industry in Aqaba to place it on the international tourism map by being an initiator in training the local workforce.

Built on an area of approximately 634,000 sqm encircling a man made lagoon that will add 1.5 KM to the Gulf of Aqaba, Saraya Aqaba will also include retail, leisure, and business facilities within the context of an authentic oriental architecture. Saraya Aqaba will also include different facilities for shopping; Souk Saraya, restaurants, stores, cafés, along with evening activities and entertainment facilities such as the Wild Wadi water park and a beach club among others.
