Industry leaders will gather to discuss their achievements in implementing intelligent technologies in new and existing fields to maximize long-term recovery. Post-implementation challenges will be discussed to come up with possible solutions to bring smart fields to the next level.
According to Haider Al Haj, Senior Drilling Engineer, Saudi Aramco:
"Applying new technologies such as intelligent completion significantly increased production and provided flow flexibility from each lateral".
Bruce James, Principal Reservoir Engineer at Woodside Energy Australia, said: "Intelligent Field Development is probably the most cost-effective way of improving profitability"
This event will bring together key international speakers including Mr. Al Haj and Mr. James to share best-practice implementations of intelligent technologies in new and existing fields. Highlights include a keynote presentation by Franz Marketz, Head of Petroleum Engineer, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) presenting PDO's efforts over the past years of developing and operating a brownfield as a smart field. Ron Cramer, Senior Advisor at Shell Global Solutions Inc., will be presenting a retrospective on 40 years of digital oil field experience, reviewing a lifetime of smart fields and lessons learnt.
