Spencer commented:
"We are adamant about keeping abreast of the activities of our various stations around the world, which is why we have organized this field trip. Performance evaluation is one of the key methods through which we can guarantee total quality control and stave off potential challenges."
During the visit, Spencer was introduced to the staff of the Bmi's local stations, who had the chance to discuss the various issues and challenges related to their work whilst being given a wider view of the airline's future prospects in light of its recent expansion activities. The interactions included presentations by the airline's Commercial, Customer Service and Cargo departments, each detailing the stations' various day-to-day activities.
The visit to Bmi's offices in Jordan was later followed by a lunch at Romero Restaurant in Amman, which was attended by Bmi's key corporates in the Kingdom, namely the British Council, and the British Embassy, all of which had previously signed agreements naming Bmi as their chosen airline.
The field visit was concluded with a business dinner at La Maison Verte in Amman, attended by representatives of twenty of Bmi's highest ranking travel agents in Jordan.
The last year has seen Bmi expand considerably. It has completed a takeover of British Mediterranean Airways, expanding its fleet of aircraft and increasing its travel destinations to Africa, the Middle East and East Asia.
