MONEYworks, Emcredit to hold credit roundtable

With the spectre of default from borrowers haunting the banking industry, the MONEYworks Group of Magazines is holding its first Credit Round Table Summit in Dubai on January 29.
The summit aims to bring industry leaders together to discuss the various issues affecting the credit industry and will also look at ways to enhance the credit information flow in the UAE. The debate and findings of the summit will be published in a special report and will be distributed with the March edition of MONEYworks.
Two presentations will be delivered by eminent figures of the finance sector. Dr. Markus Krall, managing director of KDB Germany, will deliver the first presentation on Benefits of a Credit Bureau to the Economy, followed by B.B. Tiwari, senior legal consultant, D&B India, who will deliver a presentation on Data Protection Law and its Implications on Various Key Stakeholders.
Dr. Markus Krall is the founding partner and managing director of KDB. He has successfully led a global portfolio of risk management, strategy assignments and projects spanning banking and insurance in Europe, the US, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. Many of his clients include top 20 financial service providers, regulatory bodies and supranational institutions of the world.
Since 1979, B.B. Tiwari has worked in an advisory capacity in the legal department of the Reserve Bank of India and retired as a legal advisor in 2008. During his tenure, he was associated with the setting up of the Credit Information Bureau of India LTD. Since 2008, Tiwari has held the position of senior legal consultant at D&B, India.
Other prominent figures from the finance and retail sector will attend the event to debate these subjects.
