In addition to the currently extensive out-of-the-box functionality and pre-built industry solutions available in Oracle CRM On Demand Release 16, customers may easily customize applications at all three user interface, business process and data layers.

Built on a foundation for enabling unlimited custom objects, Oracle CRM On Demand Release 16 provides additional pre-built custom objects and delivers a high degree of flexibility to define relationships between custom and pre-built objects.

New custom objects in Oracle CRM On Demand Release 16 leverage the same powerful capabilities as pre-built objects, including real-time reporting for accurate analysis of data and related information, fields customization, external data integration, page and related item layouts management, role security settings, list management, as well as the ability to load objects from other systems or files via web services or import/export utilities.

Custom objects may be configured with the same easy-to-use, point-and-click administration tools currently available in Oracle CRM On Demand. Unlike traditional software, users will not need to write code, modify tables or compile the application.

Since a robust 360-degree view of customers is a critical component of any CRM application, the related item customization intends to give customers the ability to tailor the most relevant columns on a related list, including custom fields. Users save time and have the most critical information at their fingertips, without having to drill-down into a record to see necessary details.

Usability enhancements in Oracle CRM On Demand Release 16 allow users to review critical information about related objects without leaving the current page, and customize columns and defaults in lookup windows to locate information more rapidly. The inline edit capability previously available for a list is available for 'related items' as well, enabling users to quickly update information without having to navigate to the associated record.

Improved forecasting and reporting capabilities support unit-based forecasting, companies with quarters that start on days other than the first of the month, or have 13-week quarters.

New industry specific functionality to the Global Wealth Management, Life Sciences, and Insurance Editions, may reduce customization requirements, and enable a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) and faster time to value. For example, the Oracle CRM On Demand Wealth Management Solution includes enhanced financial account management, financial plan tracking and household and portfolio analysis capabilities for improved targeted selling and customer service.

Similarly, the Oracle CRM On Demand Insurance Solution features policy and claim tracking support as well as household and portfolio and analysis capabilities. The Oracle CRM On Demand Life Sciences Edition includes additional analytic features to provide a better understanding of the uptake of products by customers to improve sales call planning and execution.

Oracle CRM On Demand Release 16 intends to provide additional extensive language support and includes eight new languages (Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Polish, Russian, Swedish, Thai and Traditional Chinese) in addition to the ten currently supported languages and rich multi-currency capabilities. By working in their native language, user efficiency and overall information quality within Oracle CRM On Demand is improved.

The new Partner Relationship Management functionality in Oracle CRM On Demand Release 16 leverages and extends the current Partner License Option to provide a broad set of indirect channel management capabilities, as well as enhancements that support key functionality and business processes critical to the management of an indirect sales channel.

By providing innovative management features for partner programs, profiles, special pricing, lead pooling and deal registrations, Oracle CRM On Demand for Partner Relationship Management enables organizations to bring customers onboard more efficiently, accelerate channel revenue, improve lead response and closure time and increase channel visibility and focus.

Oracle CRM On Demand Single Tenant Standard Edition enables organizations to access a fully dedicated hardware and software stack, unlimited custom objects and optional enterprise disaster recovery. As with all Oracle On Demand options, the private hosting model provides a cost-effective option that is easy to use and fast to deploy with virtually seamless automatic upgrades, requiring little or no upfront IT investments.

Oracle CRM On Demand Release 16 is an integral component to Oracle's commitment to CRM innovation and new industry-leading on demand CRM services from Oracle are expected soon, including: Oracle Self-Service E-Billing On Demand, Oracle Sales Library, Oracle CRM On Demand Price Management, Oracle CRM On Demand Enterprise Disaster Recovery and Oracle AIA integration from Oracle CRM On Demand to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.

"Oracle continues to lead the industry with the most complete, best-of-breed CRM on demand service that helps organizations of all sizes and industries maximize their business needs,"

said Oracle Senior Vice President of CRM Anthony Lye.

"The latest Oracle CRM On Demand Release 16 and the new customization capabilities are indicative of how only Oracle offers the flexibility and choice organizations need to drive measurable business results at every customer touchpoint."
