This move raises the company's client base to 85 countries.

Says Mr. Salih Al Sorayai, Al Sorayai Trading Industrial Group CEO:

"Our company has ventured past the issues of oil and monetary turbulences, and the difficulty of finding professional and efficient staff, and is now an outstanding force that is capable of expansion and competition in various markets."

Al Sorayai opened its first factory in 1987 to meet the Saudi market's carpet needs. Accounting now for 51% of Saudi Arabia's total carpet and rug production, the Group's current output is over 40 million square meters of carpet, which is marketed locally, and exported to 85 countries worldwide.

Says Al Sorayai: "We are familiar with the direct and indirect dealings of foreign markets due to the fact that we have numerous offices around the globe, in Belgium, the USA, China, and the United Kingdom, among others. This year we plan to make the most of each opportunity to expand into new market segments.

"Diversifying our product presentation according to the nature of the target market is the basis of our success when it comes to expanding our footprint. The products we offer in Europe are not the same as the ones we offer in China or the Middle East - we offer appropriate products that suit the culture and customs of the target country.

"Our move into Latin America is one more step toward achieving further expansion into international markets, and to meet our customers' needs by ensuring that the company is kept abreast of the latest trends and developments in the industry.

According to Al Sorayai, the expansion process will not end here. "We will continue to compete with foreign industries with our quality products."

Al Sorayai Carpets, who regularly participates in exhibitions around the world, has recently finished its participation in Domotex Hanover 2009, held in Hanover, Germany. The company showcased the latest technology in carpet manufacturing, Chromo-Jet technology, as well as other carpet products that garnered the attention of the exhibition visitors due to Al Sorayai Carpet's high quality products, its vast experience, professional staff and ability to compete with carpet manufacturers around the world.
