Global Finance confirms Arab Bank distinction

Global Finance, the world-renowned magazine in the field of banking and finance, has announced the selection of Arab Bank as Best Trade Finance Provider in Middle East in the Regions category, the best bank in Jordan and Yemen for 2009 in the "Countries" category, as well as the Best Foreign Exchange Bank in Jordan.

The selection of the Bank as the best Trade Finance Provider was attributed to the size of transactions and market share, in addition to its excellence in customer service within a wide geographical reach. The award is also attributed to the Bank's application of advanced technology in the banking industry.

The magazine asserted Arab Bank's remarkable track record of providing the necessary financing for various sectors and in different areas, underlining the Bank's steady growth and financial strength, which the Bank has been able to sustain amid the global financial crisis.

Meanwhile, Global Finance Selected Arab Bank as the best in dealing with foreign exchange, citing its strength as a key provider accredited by international companies and the size of transactions and market share in addition to excellence in customer service.

These prestigious awards reflect Arab Bank's lofty status in the Arab-banking world, especially during the current critical stage and the turbulent situation endured by the global banking system. The Bank has been a best pick for international rating agencies, due to its stability, financial strength and prudent policies in place for years.

In 2008, Arab Bank won Seven Global Finance Awards, including Best Trade Finance Provider in MENA and Jordan, Best Foreign Exchange Provider in Jordan, Best Bank in Jordan and Best Bank in Yemen.
