Dermatology conference to be held at AUB

The Department of Dermatology at the American University of Beirut Medical Center will be holding its "9th Dermatology Update" on January 31 and February 1 at 9:00 am in Issam Fares Hall.

The two-day conference, which is organized in collaboration with the Lebanese Dermalogical Society, aims to update dermatologists in Lebanon and the region on recent advances in a variety of topics. It will be an exchange forum for presentation and discussion of "en vogue" themes in dermatology, including skin cancer, acne and scar treatments, use of emollients and contraceptives and laser treatments.

The opening ceremony will include speeches by Health Minister Mohammed Jawad Khalifeh, President of the Order of Physicians George Aftimos, AUB's VP for Medical Affairs, Dr. Nadim Cortas, President of the Lebanese Dermalogical Society Edward Makhoul, and Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at AUB, Dr Abdel-Ghani Kibbi.
