The theme of this year's conference is 'Dawn of a New Era', which discussed the repercussions of the global financial crisis and its direct impact on mega projects. In addition, it aims to identify ways to help companies and institutions prepare and manage their strategies under the current downward economic circumstances.
Mr. Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, CEO and Managing Director of KFH - Bahrain commented:
"Islamic finance has become extremely competitive and successful with the market continuing to expand considerably. KFH-Bahrain and its Sharia'a compliant financing have adopted a leading role in the local and regional markets. One of the foundations of KFH-Bahrain's success is that the bank has a fundamental understanding of the financing needs of the varied business sectors. Islamic finance addresses the varying needs of these sectors and provides Sharia'a compliant financing solutions to meet and manage the capacity issues confronted by the region's project sector."
"The focus of this year's conference is to analyse the effects the global financial crisis is having on organisations that potentially need to revisit their strategies and re-set their scale of priorities to help overcome the problems", he added.
The conference is coupled with an exhibition, which started as part of the opening ceremony of the event. Over the 3 day period, it included seven focused workshops together with specific sessions specialising in training and project management.
