The students, who attended orientation sessions earlier in the academic year in preparation for the start of their classes, arrived on their new campus buzzing with anticipation. They soon met with academic leaders, including the Chair of the College's Foundations program, Jeanette Drissi. ADWC's Academic Services department then provided them with updated timetables, and faculty members escorted the excited students to class.

Orientation meetings held at ADWC answered students' questions about what to expect during their time on campus. Student Services personnel provided information on the College's academic programs, including Applied Communications, Business, Education, IT, and Health Sciences. ADWC's welcoming staff also explained about extracurricular activities; campus rules; college rules; and tips for success in their classes. After so much preparation, students were more than a little excited to begin their College classes.

Abu Dhabi Women's College is part of the Higher Colleges of Technology. All media references to the organization should be noted as the Higher Colleges of Technology's Abu Dhabi Women's College or Abu Dhabi Women's College of HCT.
