High-level delegation from Sudan in talks with Dubai School of Government for knowledge exchange

A six-member high-level delegation from Sudan today held consultations with officials of Dubai School of Government (DSG), a research and teaching institution focusing on public policy in the Arab world, to finalise details on facilitating knowledge exchange, capacity building measures as well as executive programmes between the two countries.

Tarik M. Yousef, Dean, DSG; Hafed Al Ghwell, Director of External Affairs and Communication at DSG; and other members of the senior management received the Sudanese delegation members.

They included Adil Kardawi, Vice Secretary-General at Council of Public Affairs; Hussain Al Abeed, Vice- President of Sudanese Academic Council; Prof. Mahmood Alser Tah,representative of the Scientific Committee at the Public Affairs Development department; Dr. Ibrahim Moussa, Deputy director of the Public Affairs department for follow-up and coordination; and Mrs. Azza Ahmed Eissa Ibrahim, from the Presidential International Public Affairs department.

Officials at DSG led the Sudanese delegation on a tour of the campus and briefed them about the various programmes that are organised to promote good governance through enhancing the region's capacity for effective public policy.

The Dubai School of Government, established in 2005 in cooperation with the Harvard Kennedy School, is committed to the creation of knowledge, the dissemination of global best practices and the training of policy makers in the Arab world.

Established in 2005 under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, in cooperation with the Harvard Kennedy School, DSG aims to promote good governance through enhancing the region's capacity for effective public policy.
