First debit card in UAE to offer 'Cashback' on purchases

RAKBANK's launch of its debit card comes with the very welcome message of 'Cashback' to customers.
The debit cards give customers instant access to their bank accounts for use at all retail merchants and ATMs that accept MasterCard across the world, including all UAE ATMs, and offer 1- 2% of the value of purchases made back in cash.
"RAKBANK was the first bank in the UAE to introduce the concept of 'Cashback' on credit card purchases a few years ago, and due to its success with customers, it was important that we offer this advantage with our new debit cards," said Graham Honeybill, General Manager at RAKBANK. "In a society that is quickly embracing the concept of electronic payment, our debit cards are a very convenient and secure way to pay, with the added advantage of getting back some of the money spent."
RAKBANK's debit cards use technology offering a very high level of card security and seen as the best way to prevent fraud relating to counterfeit or duplicate cards through anti-skimming and anti-counterfeit capabilities. The acceptance of the debit card internationally also makes it safer and more convenient to travel with less cash carried.
The RAKBANK debit card also comes with Premium Global MasterCard privileges, Dining privileges and other Travel and Insurance benefits.
