"This articulation agreement is a result of the increasing demand to provide advanced degree options that better position new graduates in the face of current economic uncertainty."
"University of Phoenix provides students with a great educational value, and the articulation agreement with American College of Dubai is one of the ways in which we do this. By forming a bridge between the student's associate degree and their ultimate goal, the bachelor's degree granted by University of Phoenix, we offer them a seamless and streamlined approach to achieving their academic goal - ultimately leading to their acquisition of the knowledge and skills required in today's increasingly competitive job market," he added.
The agreement between the two post-secondary institutions is effective immediately and allows qualified students who have completed transferable credits or an associate's degree through American College of Dubai to transfer degree credits to the University of Phoenix.
Kapoor said that, "Through establishing this agreement, both institutions have introduced greater and more diverse career possibilities for students."
"University of Phoenix is constantly seeking ways to make education accessible, innovative and engaging. This is yet another example of its dedication to helping students balance their education and life in a rapidly changing world," Kapoor said.
William O'Brien, ACD's CEO, said, "Connecting our students to the University of Phoenix global network is a major plus for our students. This transfer option to University of Phoenix is particularly attractive for our students wishing to begin employment while furthering their higher education."
Following implementation, the articulation agreement will remain in effect for three years and will renew each subsequent year unless terminated. Those students who have completed an associate's degree program through American College of Dubai and who satisfy additional academic and admission requirements are eligible for transfer to the baccalaureate program.
