For its part, Esnaad, a wholly owned subsidiary of ADNOC, establishes requirements and anticipated outcomes for each student project, and provides a work-placement position for ADWC's up-and-coming professionals.
"What's important about this work placement, is that the projects our students produce, under Esnaad's guidelines, will be implemented in Esnaad. Not every student in a work-placement gets to see her work being used by the company after she has left. These students will have that opportunity. We are very fortunate to have found such a good fit with Esnaad. They benefit from this arrangement, and so do our students."
said ADWC's Director, Dr. Bradley Cook,
Esnaad's General Manager, Mr. Darwish Al Qubaisi, agrees that the arrangement with ADWC helps both organizations reach their objectives. "Esnaad believes that the success of any organization lies not only in the operation of the business, but also in the interaction with society, especially in supporting the Government's Emiratization strategy. This experience is not the first for Esnaad with ADWC, but it is the continuation of several previous successful experiences, both in training the graduating students and in effectively implementing their projects in the company."
Speaking of enhanced student learning as an outcome of an Esnaad placement, Dr. Cook asserts, "Esnaad provides real-life projects in a tight time-frame. This kind of work-placement position gives our students the chance to develop their time management skills, including prioritizing, in order to satisfy their employer."
