UNB sponsors Human Reasources Conference in Abu Dhabi

Union National Bank (UNB), one of UAE's leading banks, is a key sponsor of the ongoing "Human Resources & Development In the Arabian Gulf" conference which concludes today in Abu Dhabi.

The three-day conference is being conducted by the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies & Research (ECSSR). The conference was inaugurated by H.H. Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan Minister of Interiors.

Prominent speakers at the conference included. H.R.H Prince Turki Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz Chairman, Board of Directors, King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, Mr. Humaid bin Dimas Al-Suwaidi, Acting Undersecretary and Director of Labor Affairs, Ministry of Labor, UAE Dr. Abdul-Wahid Khaled Al-Humayd Deputy Minister of Labor, Saudi Arabia and H.E. Amat Al-Alim Al-Soswa, Assistant Secretary General, Assistant Administrator and Director, Regional Bureau for Arab States, United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

"We are pleased to support the ECSSR and renew our association with this prominent UAE institution via our sponsorship of this conference, which highlights an important issue in the GCC and is in line with UNB's emeratization strategy"


said Abdulla Alrashedi SVP & Heaf of Emeratization at UNB, noting that for UNB this is the third year in a row to sponsor ECSSR's annual conferences.

Experts have called the GCC countries to invest in human capital through strategic planning in the realms of educational development, scientific research, balancing educational output with market requirements, and supporting continuing education.
