The 2009 Scandinavian Golf Championship had its inaugural tournament at the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa on Wednesday 14th January 2009 on the championship standard Resort Course which is situated within the idyllic grounds of the Resort, 9 hole par 36.
24 players played for a top-10 finish in order to collect points in the Championship being played across 5 courses, over 5 months.
Tournament Winner: Max Holm (Net 75), Runner-Up: Johnny Stenegard (Net 76), Third: Dylan Fjellstrom (Net 76). One-Shot Winner: Filip Karlsson.
The 128-acre Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa features two hotels, namely the original Jebel Ali Hotel and the luxurious Palm Tree Court & Spa, a member of 'The Leading Hotels of the World'. In addition to its 9-hole championship standard golf course, the resort also comprises an 800 metre private beach, three swimming pools, horse riding stables, 80-berth marina for fishing trips and boat charters. A handpicked selection of Elemis, Wild Earth and MD treatments can be enjoyed at The Spa, a member of 'Leading Spas'.
