Trowers and Hamlins advises Waha leasing on its acquisition of an Airbus A330

International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has advised Waha Leasing PrJSC, an operating unit of Waha Capital PJSC, Abu Dhabi's big ticket leasing company, on its recent acquisition of an Airbus A330 from a subsidiary of Aircastle, the commercial aircraft leasing company.

The aircraft is currently being leased to Qatar Airways.

Roger Clarke, Head of Trowers & Hamlins' aviation practice, comments:

"We are delighted to have acted for Waha on this purchase, which is the second deal of this kind we have acted on for them in the space of a month."


Waha Leasing now owns or provides finance for over 47 aircraft with a current market value of approximately $1.8bn.

The Trowers & Hamlins team was led by Roger Clarke and Sarah Humpleby and assisted by Sarah MacLachlan.

Financing for the deal was provided by DVB Bank SE.
