Two show villas have already been fully completed, while high quality interior detailing and landscaping that will redefine luxury continues on the remaining properties. These will all be complete early in the second quarter of 2009.

The richly appointed private villas - each with its own garden, terraces and access to one of the largest residential swimming pools in the region - enjoy all the advantages of being situated alongside the five-star Ottoman Palace hotel, which is to be operated by the Rixos Hotels Group. It will provide residents with a wealth of premium amenities. These include the Royal Spa, the largest and most decadent authentic Turkish Spa and fitness centre in the UAE, access to the hotel's beach club and use of its tennis centre, concierge/butler service, food and beverage deliveries and catering.

For those villa owners who can be tempted away from the comfort of their home, eating out will certainly not be a problem, with access to the hotel's seven gourmet restaurants offering a range of quality dining from classic Anatolian to modern day fusion and connoisseur French cuisine.

Seven bars and lounges will be topped by the 'Hareem' club/lounge that will become a valuable addition to Dubai's night club scene. The resort will also incorporate a world-class entertainment venue, the Mehteran, for star-studded concerts and events.

The Ottoman Palace, which is due for completion at the turn of the year, will also become a haven for shoppers, with its own retail mall - The Silk Road - housing 25 selected boutiques offering a range of luxury brands.

The project's 38 villa residences, which are of three different types - featuring four, five or six bedrooms - will provide absolute opulence for those wishing to indulge themselves in the Rixos lifestyle long-term, with stunning views across the Arabian Gulf, landscaped gardens (some with direct access to the beach) completely fitted Italian kitchens and appliances, internal ponds, elevators, maid's rooms and smart home technology.

Robert Norton, CEO of Zabeel Properties, said:

"Our Ottoman Palace villa development will provide homeowners with a unique and luxurious private residential location on Palm Jumeirah, and are delighted with the progress of construction to date. When fully complete, this development will not only epitomise the passion for perfection that we bring to all our developments, but provide the chance for residents to escape, discover and surround themselves with opulent and traditional Turkish culture. The Ottoman Palace will provide a valuable extension to the choice of homes in Dubai, as will the hotel when it opens later in 2009."

Construction of the project started in May 2007 and is being completed with the exacting attention to quality and detail for which Dubai-based Zabeel Properties has become known.

Housed in a 97,000 square metre plot that includes 50,000 square metres of landscaping and associated amenities, the Ottoman Palace site is fronted by sea on two sides. It has been constructed by ZSML and managed by EC Harris.

Completion of the villas is anticipated for the second quarter of 2009.
