Jumbo stores record rise in sales in first two weeks of DSF

DSF shoppers have been flocking to Jumbo stores in large numbers with the UAE's leading retailer in consumer electronics and technology recording a healthy increase in sales in the first two weeks of the international shopping extravaganza.

Jumbo Electronics has rolled out an exciting promotion at this year's Dubai Shopping Festival, offering shoppers spending Dhs. 300 at any Jumbo store the opportunity to win Gold prizes and 10 airline tickets, from Bahrain Air, everyday.

Commenting on the first two weeks of DSF, Mr. JP Nambiar, Head - Retail, Jumbo Electronics, said:
"DSF has given the platform to boost our sales and consumers have enjoyed the offers and deals at all Jumbo stores. The first two weeks of DSF has led to an increase in sales at all Jumbo stores. Mr. Nambiar said that laptops are by far the best-selling products at Jumbo stores, followed by mobile phones and LCD TV sets."However, we have also seen high demand for other electronics products like digital and video cameras, home theatre systems, DVD players, audio systems, desktops computers, MP3 players, printers, scanners, photo copiers, and fax machines."

Mr. Nambiar added, "As a retailer with a strong understanding of the market and wide experience in major consumer-focused events like the DSF, we are able to ensure that our discerning customers get exactly what they are looking for. Thousands of DSF shoppers who have been visiting our stores have been largely influenced by the unrivalled selection of world-renowned brands and attractive deals that Jumbo is offering."

Jumbo has very recently opened two new stores in Dubai. The store in Dubai mall is Jumbo's new concept store in UAE named Jumbo "Unwired" The new format primarily focusses on laptops and its nearest relative, the mobile phones. Consumers are brand concious when it comes to laptops and are looking for interactive experience and assurance while commiting to buy. The new Jumbo Unwired format does just that. So instead of navigating the huge Dubai mall for laptops and mobile phones, there is only one destination - Jumbo Unwired.
