UAE is global leader in mobiles per person

New figures released yesterday show that the UAE continues to have more mobile subscribers per person than anywhere else in the world. The data from UAE's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority reveal that for every 100 people, there are 186 cell phone lines that made or received calls or messages in the past 90 days. The UAE's penetration rate is more than 20 percentage points higher than other small, wealthy economies such as Hong Kong, Singapore and Macau.
