The captain of the Airbus A319 flying to Queen Alia International Airport and carrying 77 passengers decided to land at Istanbul airport to offer the 16-year-old passenger first aid.

The passenger and her companion disembarked and received treatment. The doctors took the decision to send her to the nearest hospital to be treated. Her situation became stable and she will fly to Amman this evening.

The flight ran two hours behind schedule because of the diversion. Despite the financial losses incurred in such situations, due to an increase in fuel consumption, delays, extra charges for landings and take offs, RJ always puts the passengers' safety above any other consideration.
